A long history in our fast-moving times, in which companies often shine brightly and then disappear from the market after just a few years. With our commitment to our roots and the Swabian virtues of diligence and perseverance, our Kober brand has succeeded in surviving two world wars, overcoming economic crises and overcoming many surprising challenges. The combination of long tradition and proven structures with new methods and innovative technology has also brought us far-reaching successes. Be it Olympic medals, countless world championship titles or successful expeditions. Our paddles have always been there. We are also proud to be a globally recognized specialist in times of multisport corporations and to be an owner-managed family business on a sound economic footing.
When my great-grandfather founded his company in the tranquil Black Forest in 1886, he would never have dreamed of the lasting impact it would have.
Through continuous learning, constant innovation and not least the motivation of our employees, we have repeatedly succeeded in initiating decisive changes in paddle sports and setting standards as pioneers. With the "Frankfurt", Kober developed the first flat-back paddle and was already producing the 70° offset in series when others were still sticking to the 90° angle that was common at the time. Our Ergo shafts were also truly ergonomic right from the start and not just "bent".
However, 125 years of innovation were only possible thanks to the trust of our customers and partners in our company and our products. Our heartfelt thanks therefore go to all those who have reliably supported us over this long period and whose commitment has contributed to our extraordinary success.
